Use a conversation when typing gets in the way

You may find it easier to describe an event aloud or talk through a confusing paragraph. The intended voice experience supports back-and-forth conversation, interruptions and focused follow-up questions. It should help you reach the next useful step rather than requiring you to dictate a perfectly structured account before the work can begin.

Make spoken work reviewable

Names, amounts and dates need checking, especially when captured by speech. The planned transcript keeps spoken work available for review and correction, with referenced records visible on screen. Switching to text or recovering from a dropped connection should retain context. A spoken recollection remains your account of events until the supporting record establishes more.

From question to next step

  1. 1

    Speak naturally

Explain the situation in your own words and interrupt when you need to clarify.

  2. 2

    Review the record

Check the transcript and inspect cited records on screen.

  3. 3

    Keep working

Move from conversation into the next question or piece of preparation.

Connected work

As your case develops

Two-way voice is part of the intended CourtAhead experience. The design includes turn-taking, interruption, transcript review and recovery after a connection drops, with the same case context available in text.

Your decisions

You stay in control

Microphone use is explicit. Review names, dates and figures in the transcript before using them in important work.

Common questions

Is voice just dictation?

No. The intended feature is two-way conversation with turn-taking and interruption, alongside a reviewable transcript and a text alternative.

Must I use my microphone?

No. Voice is optional, and microphone use must be explicit. The work should remain usable in text without requiring speech.
