His fifth company came from a personal failure in the system.
What changes when an experienced founder builds from lived need rather than a market thesis.
Press & media
CourtAhead is building the navigation layer for people representing themselves—founded from direct experience by the entrepreneur behind Telzio.
The founder story

Peter Schroeder founded and built Telzio around a straightforward product idea: powerful infrastructure should not require the customer to become an infrastructure expert.
More than a decade later, his own divorce exposed the same design failure in a much higher-stakes system. The documents, dates and messages existed, but there was no usable way for a self-represented person to see how they connected—or which gaps and uncertainties still mattered.
CourtAhead applies Peter’s product, engineering and design experience to that problem. It does not replace a lawyer or turn uncertain records into confident legal conclusions. It makes the case legible.
Potential story angles
Each angle can be supported with a founder interview and private product demonstration.

Why forms and general instructions still leave self-represented people without a usable map of their own record.
A product model that shows what supports each answer and keeps claims, documents, filing status, delivery, and signed orders distinct.

CourtAhead is a guided case navigator for people representing themselves. Built initially for California family law, CourtAhead organizes court papers, communications, dates, and unresolved questions into a clear case map connected to supporting records. The platform was founded by Peter Schroeder, founder of cloud communications company Telzio, after his own experience navigating divorce exposed how difficult it is to understand a legal record without professional tools. CourtAhead provides legal information and organization—not legal advice.
