CourtAhead, Inc. operates courtahead.com. This notice covers the public website, free tools, website guide, early-access requests and related support. The SMS section describes an optional consent choice on the early-access form; text messaging is not yet active. This notice does not describe a private case-management account or a paid subscription; separate information will be provided before those services become available.
Scope
The website and free tools are available without a CourtAhead account. The private case assistant is in development. This notice supplements any choice shown when you use a public website feature.
Information we receive
Early access. When you request access, we receive your name, email address and a record of the request. If you provide a mobile number, we receive it as well. CourtAhead stores these details for invitation management and uses Customer.io for related communications. Requesting access does not subscribe you to product news or text messages.
Contact and support. If you contact us, we receive your contact details, message and any material you provide. Do not send confidential case records or information about other people unless we arrange a suitable way to receive them.
Website visits. Hosting and security providers process connection details such as IP address, browser information and access time. CourtAhead also counts public page loads on its own website endpoint. The count request carries no cookie, visitor ID, referrer or page URL; only an event category, a fixed unset choice category for page loads, and, for visits with the exact early-access ChatGPT ad tags, a fixed campaign category. The tally contains no visitor identifiers. Browser analytics, performance reports and advertising measurement start automatically on eligible pages; previously saved browser choices and Global Privacy Control do not change this website tracking. Google Analytics receives website identifiers, public page paths, referral and campaign information, device details, approximate location and general interactions. Customer.io receives public-page visits and interactions, a persistent browser identifier, IP address and approximate location, device/browser details, language and time zone, and referral and campaign information. When we accept your early-access request, we send your supplied name and email address to associate earlier visits and future activity with your contact record. If you later create an account, we can link that record to your account for onboarding and service communications. Sentry receives actual error messages and stack traces, diagnostic logs and context, request information, IP address and browser details, performance traces and execution profiles. Sampled session replays can record page text, interactions and form inputs, including information displayed or entered in our tools or guide. Feedback can include your message, contact details and a screenshot you submit. These diagnostics can contain personal or sensitive information. We use them to investigate failures, understand feedback and improve reliability. CourtAhead does not apply its own masking or redaction; native SDK limitations and Sentry processing rules may still omit or alter fields. We do not send case information, tool entries or guide conversations as analytics or advertising events. Customer.io receives the accepted early-access contact information described above and website activity for engagement measurement.
We retain Google Analytics browser and session identifiers in Customer.io and with your early-access request to connect website visits with your request and its approval or rejection. This flow does not send your name, email address or case information to Google Analytics.
We use our tracking server to route website activity and confirmed early-access outcomes to our analytics and advertising providers. Confirmed outcomes are sent from our backend after they are saved, so a signup can be measured even if you close the browser. We use selected campaign references and analytics identifiers to connect those outcomes with your visit.
Free tools and guide. Free-tool entries are processed in your browser. The public guide sends your question to our server, which uses it to select relevant public CourtAhead topics. Amazon Bedrock, currently using Amazon Nova, receives the selected public topics to generate a reply. Separate Sentry monitoring receives guide errors, request and diagnostic context, performance traces, execution profiles and usage measurements. Guide or AI-related content can be included where the enabled instrumentation captures it, including browser session replay or feedback. CourtAhead does not provide a saved guide conversation history. Do not enter names, case numbers, private documents or confidential facts into the public guide.
SMS privacy
The early-access form offers a separate, optional SMS consent choice. We record affirmative consent, its disclosure version and submission time separately from your mobile number and early-access request. Providing a number without checking the box does not authorize texts. Messaging will not begin until the sender is active and your number is verified. When messaging becomes available, we will also record verification requests, delivery and opt-out records needed to operate requested messages and honor your choices.
We will not sell, rent or share mobile numbers, SMS opt-in data or consent records with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Messaging providers and carriers receive information needed to deliver the requested service, or information may be disclosed when required by law. SMS consent does not enroll you in email marketing.
We retain consent, delivery and suppression records as needed to operate the program, document permission, honor opt-outs and meet legal obligations. No fixed deletion period has been established for the program. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help when messaging is available. You may also use our contact form. We may keep a minimal suppression record so a deletion request does not cause unwanted messages. See the SMS terms.
Cookies and tracking
We use Google Tag Manager to activate Google Analytics, Customer.io visit tracking, OpenAI measurement of ChatGPT ad results and Meta marketing measurement. Sentry monitoring, session replay and feedback run separately. Tracking starts automatically on eligible pages without asking you to opt in first. Previously saved Decline, Analytics only and Allow all choices and Global Privacy Control do not turn off or limit this website tracking. First-party page counts and guide server monitoring described above continue independently. Public tools and early-access requests remain available.
Customer.io uses browser cookies and local storage to recognize repeat visits and associate activity with an accepted early-access contact. We retain first and most recent non-direct acquisition information in this browser for 90 days. Requesting early access or being recognized by tracking does not subscribe you to product-news emails or text messages.
When advertising is enabled, Google may combine eligible website activity with its own information for advertising and aggregate demographic reporting. We do not send early-access names, email addresses, form contents, case details or guide text to Google Analytics. Previously saved browser choices and Global Privacy Control do not turn off website analytics, advertising measurement or advertising contact matching. Google explains its processing in How Google uses information from sites that use its services.
When advertising is enabled, OpenAI measures general marketing-page views and permitted interactions, including accepted early-access requests. We permit remarketing and related advertising uses where supported and allowed by the platform. OpenAI measurement is excluded from document-tool pages; case details, tool inputs and guide text are excluded. OpenAI uses first-party attribution cookies, including __oppref (30 days) and __obref (365 days). You can remove these cookies through your browser. See OpenAI's measurement documentation.
For approved advertising contact matching, our server normalizes and hashes the name and email you provide with an accepted early-access request before sending supported matching fields to OpenAI. Customer.io continues to receive your accepted contact fields and permitted visitor identifiers to associate your website activity with your contact profile. Tracking data is not used to send private case information to advertising providers.
When advertising is enabled, the Meta Pixel sends approved marketing-page views. The Pixel may receive browser and device information, permitted campaign details and its advertising cookies. We configure manual events without contact fields; no form contents, names, email addresses, case details or tool inputs are sent as event data. Its Pixel is excluded from document tools, resource guides, private support and case pages. You can remove Meta's website attribution cookies through your browser.
Providers and video
We use information to operate and protect the website, respond to requests, manage early access, measure and improve the site, and measure advertising results. Browser tracking follows the eligible-page and provider rules described above. Providers include Amazon Web Services for hosting and guide processing, Customer.io for early-access records, recognized website activity, acquisition measurement, onboarding and related communications, Sentry for website and guide error diagnostics, logs, performance traces and profiles, session replay and submitted feedback or screenshots, Google for tag management and analytics or advertising, OpenAI for ChatGPT ad measurement, Meta for marketing measurement, and providers used for support and email. They process information relevant to their services under their applicable terms and may do so in other countries.
The video page uses YouTube’s privacy-enhanced player. YouTube receives connection information when the player loads and processes playback under Google’s privacy policy.
Retention
Google Analytics event and user data are configured for 14 months, with the user-data period reset by new activity; aggregate reports may remain longer. Fixed first-party count log entries are retained for one year. We keep early-access records while managing requests and invitations, and support correspondence while handling requests and maintaining records needed for business or legal purposes. These records are not subject to an automatic deletion timer. The public guide does not create a saved conversation history for you to retrieve.
Your requests
Use our contact form to ask about this notice, review or correct information you provided, withdraw an early-access request, or request deletion. We may need to verify a request before disclosing or changing information.
