Current availability
AI-assistant connections are currently available only to invited testing clients that CourtAhead has registered. Pasting the CourtAhead MCP address into an unregistered assistant will not complete a connection.
https://mcp.courtahead.com/mcp/v1. Registration is required before a client can request access. To ask about testing access, email pschroeder@courtahead.com with the name of the compatible client you want to use. Do not email passwords, access tokens, or case files.
Connect one case
Use the CourtAhead account that contains the case you want the assistant to read.
The assistant opens CourtAhead's connection screen. Confirm the requesting client before continuing.
The access token is limited to the case you select. Connect again if you intentionally want to use a different case.
Read the permissions on the screen, then choose whether to allow or cancel the connection.
What the assistant can read
An approved connection can request only the following information for the selected case:
- Basic case details and CourtAhead's current record counts.
- Events connected to supporting records and marked confirmed in CourtAhead.
- Document names, types, and review states—not document contents.
The connection cannot change the case, upload files, send messages, file papers, serve anyone, or mark anything filed, served, accepted, signed, or entered by a court.
The assistant receives CourtAhead's current case records and their visible status boundaries. It does not receive authority to turn an upload, source, or user confirmation into a filing, service, court acceptance, or legal effect.
Disconnect access
Use the connected assistant's disconnect or revoke control. If the client does not provide one, email pschroeder@courtahead.com from the email on your CourtAhead account.
Access tokens expire after about five minutes. A registered client may refresh access for up to seven days unless its refresh access is revoked. After revocation, an already issued access token may remain usable until its short expiration time.
Troubleshooting
The assistant says the client is not registered
The client's exact return address must be registered by CourtAhead during invited testing. Contact support with the client name and the error, but do not send an authorization code or token.
The wrong case was selected
Disconnect the client and start a new connection. CourtAhead does not let one access token silently switch between cases.
The connection expired
Start the connection again from the registered assistant and review the permissions before approving it.
