Quick answer

A source should show what supports a point; a status should say only what is confirmed. Submission, filing and service are separate steps.

CourtAhead is being built to connect important points to the record or legal source behind them. Inspect the passage and its context; a citation alone does not establish that a conclusion is correct.

Confirmed

A confirmed point needs evidence for the particular fact or step described. Read what was checked and the source supporting it.

Not confirmed

A source, input or review is still missing. The gap should stay visible rather than become an assumed fact.

Possible

A reading or next step may be relevant, but depends on facts or conditions that are not settled. It is not a prediction of what the court will do.

Separate steps

Preparing, signing, submitting, court acceptance, filing, service and proof filing describe different steps. Evidence for an earlier step does not establish that a later one is complete.

Your review

Check dates and important conclusions against their sources. New or conflicting material can change the preparation and should reopen the affected question.
